SacAnime Summer 2024 had a special treat for its Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) fans: A huge panel with nine of the English dub voice actors! Fans gathered in the main events panel room on August 30 for the biggest JJK panel in SacAnime history, where the voice actors discussed the goods (and many bads) of the show.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" SacAnime Panel
The majority of the Jujutsu Kaisen SacAnime panel was a Q&A session led by fans. The actors held an anime-only session, so those who weren’t caught up on the manga weren’t spoiled. The cast discussed everything about JJK such as their favorite bloopers, scenes to record, or jujutsu stroll. They also discussed subjects they weren’t fond of in the show, such as least favorite character, most difficult line to deliver, and worst Shibuya death.

- Anjali Kunapaneni – Yuki Tsukumo
One question that grabbed fans’ attention was when a fan asked Adam McArthur about his recent feature on Megan Thee Stallion’s Otaku Hot Girl. “Guys, I’m a rap god,” McArthur jokes. “I don’t know where to go from here. After Megan Thee Stallion, what’s next?”
Although he couldn’t talk about how exactly the feature came to be, he discussed how he came up with the idea to re-dub a JJK scene using her name, which was later used in the song.
The JJK cast joked throughout the panel, laughing and coming up with their answers. One fan asked if the cast was forced to eat one of Sukuna’s fingers, what condition would it be under.
“If Geto and Gojo were at the KFC and they ordered chicken fingers and there was a Sukuna finger in there, they’d split it,” said Lang.
“I’d do it for TikTok!” Tang responded.
“So apparently to answer your question, we’re a lot less bothered by it!” Daymond said, eliciting a laugh from the cast and audience.
Despite being an anime with extremely heavy moments and scenes, the cast held a lighthearted and fun panel that every JJK fan could enjoy.
About the Series
Yuji Itadori is a high schooler with unbelievable strength. One day, Itadori eats a cursed talisman/finger in order to save his classmate, Megumi Fushiguro. As a result, Itadori becomes a host to Ryomen Sukuna, an ancient evil sorcerer, but still retains most of the control over his body. Instead of exorcizing Sukuna (and killing Itadori as a result), Fushiguro’s teacher, Satoru Gojo, brings Itadori to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School to train Itadori to become a sorcerer. Also, they begin working to collect and consume all 20 of Sukuna’s fingers. Sukuna could later be exorcized.
