About Pokémon
Pokémon takes place in a universe where humans and Pokémon (“pocket monsters”) co-exist. People interact with Pokémon in different ways: Some keep them as pets, while others train them to battle.
In the original anime series, Ash Ketchum is a 10-year-old boy with a dream of becoming a Pokémon Master. With his trusty partner Pikachu by his side, Ketchum travels the world to battle other Pokémon trainers, make new friends, go on adventures, and work toward his dream to be the very best.
