For those unfamiliar with My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, the show is a spin-off of My Hero Academia. Set a few years before the main series, it follows Koichi Haimawari, a college student unable to achieve his dream of becoming a Pro Hero.

By day, he goes to class and works his day job. By night, he dresses up in costume and acts as a vigilante in his neighborhood. He soon meets Knuckleduster, who wants to teach Koichi how to be a better vigilante. Koichi reluctantly agrees and they are soon joined by Pop-Step, who acts as their intel gatherer. Together, they form a ragtag team and try to stop the mysterious outbreak of Instant Villains while avoiding capture by licensed heroes.
