It’s almost time to once again go Plus Ultra with the students, teachers and villains of My Hero Academia. According to Crunchyroll, the premiere date for season 7 of the wildly popular anime series is set for May 4th. This is just a little over a month away.
My Hero Academia Season 7
The show follows high school student Izuku Midoriya and his classmates, who possess superpower-like ‘quirks.’ They train to be heroes and fight against those who would use their quirks for evil. At the end of season 6, things were looking bleak for our main characters. The villains Tomura Shigaraki and All for One have devastated Japan and the whole world is concerned about the possibility of their threat spreading. Viewers were briefly introduced to Star and Stripe, the American hero who has modeled herself after the greatest hero to ever live – All Might. Season 7 promises to pick up right where the previous left off. This new hero is on her way to Japan to lend aid in the fight against the villains.
The premiere date of the season in Japan was previously announced. Now, Crunchyroll has confirmed it will simulcast the new season in Japanese starting May 4th. Also, multiple language dubs, including English, will also be produced, but no release date has been announced for those just yet. Four recap episodes called My Hero Academia: Memories are also scheduled to be released on Crunchyroll in the weeks leading up to the season 7 premiere, beginning April 6th. A brand new movie for the franchise is also set to be released in August of this year, titled My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
