Anime Las Vegas 2024 brought countless anime, video game, and cosplay fans together in Vegas at The Expo at World Market Center. Fans attended the convention for the second year for one incredible weekend, Saturday, March 22nd through Sunday, March 23rd.Â
About Anime Las Vegas
Held in the Arts District, Anime Las Vegas combines all the traditional aspects of an anime and cosplay convention, but adds its flare, making it stand out compared to competitors. Like many other conventions, Anime Las Vegas had over 400+ vendors, over 40 celebrity guests and incredible panels, such as Attack on Titan, Naruto, My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball panels, to name a few.
However, Anime Las Vegas stands out by having something for every type of anime fan. This ensures all attendees can enjoy the convention in their way. With its arcade zone, photo rooms, a maid cafe, bull riding, wrestling matches, Itasha car displays, the Four Empires side quest and so much more, the two-day convention kept all fans entertained.
Not only that, but Anime Las Vegas 2024 also offered fans multiple freebies. These included pins and tokens for attending certain events and visiting booths during the convention, letting them make the most of the weekend. All attendees were given free bags with their badges, which were a collaboration between Anime Las Vegas and The Shumi Company.Â
The hardest part to miss and maybe the elephants of the room were the giant inflatable characters, including Pikachu, Totoro, Pochita, and Godzilla creating the perfect photo opportunity, especially for families.
Overall Thoughts
Personally, my favorite parts of the event were the Itasha car show and the Anime Slam wrestling matches. With dozens of cars on display both inside the convention hall and outside the entrance from the Itasha Alliance, the cars were decked out with countless characters from different universes, but my personal favorite was the Gundham one. As someone who loves cars and always buys car decals or decor, it made me happy to see others putting the same if not more, energy into their cars.
As for the Anime Slam, professional wrestlers from Big Valley Wrestling in Las Vegas cosplayed numerous characters from multiple different universes. Then, they competed against each other in the ring. From Rock Lee from Naruto to Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, there was no shortage of entertainment. Judging by the huge crowds and endless cheers, Anime Slam was one of the most popular moments amongst fans at Anime Las Vegas.
Overall, with so many different features, amazing guests and incredible features, Anime Las Vegas 2024 kept Vegas on its toes. With an incredible second year, we cannot wait for what they’ll bring next year. We hope to see you all there.
