Three years after the original Toilet-bound Hanako-kun anime aired and much anticipation from a series of countdowns, fans of the cutest toilet ghost are getting a new series. After-School Hanako-kun is a new, short anime project coming in October.
About Toilet-bound Hanako-kun
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun is a manga series written and illustrated by AidaIro with 18 volumes available in English. The anime was released in 2020. Currently, there is one season with twelve episodes. Toilet-bound Hanako-kun follows high schooler Nene Yashiro who accidentally finds herself bound to a toilet ghost who goes by the name of Hanako. As the two of them build an unlikely friendship, Nene learns that there is a hidden world full of supernatural beings.
After-School Hanako-kun
After-School Hanako-kun is a series of short stories separate from the original story. Nene and Hanako are usually busy with supernaturals while school is in session. However, these supernatural beings don’t take breaks just because school is out! There is still much more to be done after school. Nene and Hanako have their work cut out for them.
Aidarlo, the creator of Hanako-kun, released artwork in celebration of this new series.
This new anime series will air in Japan on October 12th. Crunchyroll will stream the 10-minute shorts just ahead of the Japanese broadcast. After-School Hanako-kun will be available to stream in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India on October 11th at 11:00 AM Pacific Time.
