After a long hiatus, Blue Exorcist returns for its third season, Shimane Illuminati Saga, in January 2024. This TV series will cover volumes 10 to 15 of the original dark fantasy manga written by Kazue Kato.
About Blue Exorcist
Blue Exorcist follows teenage twin brothers Rin and Yukio Okumura, raised by their foster father, Shiro Fujimoto, a priest. When a group of demons ambush Rin, they provoke him into awakening powers that have been dormant within him his entire life. Rin discovers he and Yukio are the children of Satan who were born from a human.
Shiro admits to Rin that Rin is the son of Satan and that his abilities have been contained in a sword all this time. Once Rin unleashes his powers, there is no turning back. Shiro intervenes to stop Rin from being dragged into the demon realm; however, he loses his life in battle. On a mission to kill Satan and avenge his late father, Rin accepts his abilities and enrolls in True Cross Academy. Blue Exorcist follows Rin’s journey as he learns more about his background and begins training to become an exorcist!

Shimane Illuminati Saga is the sequel to the Kyoto Saga!
At Aniplex Online Fest 2023, the first key visual and an official teaser were released. Here’s a first look at Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga:
The original creative group from earlier seasons is confirmed to be coming back! The director is Daisuke Yoshida. Toshiya Ohno is the series composition writer, and Yurie Daito is the chief animation director and character designer. The music will be composed by Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano. Studio VOLN is the animation studio producing the series.
Additionally, the original voice cast is confirmed to be reprising their roles. The main voice-over cast includes:
