The long wait is finally over for fans of the popular and beloved anime series Attack on Titan. A brand new trailer and release date for the Attack on Titan finale special has been released, marking an end date for the decade-long journey fans have taken with Eren Jeager to discover the truth of the monstrous titans. Warning: This article contains spoilers for previous seasons.
Attack on Titan Finale
The final season of Attack on Titan has been a long one, beginning with 16 regular season episodes that began airing in late 2020 through March of 2021. A second part of the season featured another 12 episodes that ran from January 2022 to April of that year. The final season was not yet over though, as it was announced that the remaining chapters of Hajime Isayama’s manga would be released as two one-hour specials titled “The Final Chapters,” the first of which aired in March of 2023.
After much anticipation, the release date for the Attack on Titan finale, hour-long special has been confirmed as November 4th in Japan. A teaser trailer has also been released, showing some brief looks at what to expect from the final hour of Attack on Titan. Mikasa, Armin, and a handful of other remaining Scouts and titan shifters have caught up with Eren’s Founding Titan as it makes its way across Marley, crushing everything in its path. They must make a final stand to take Eren down and put a stop to his destruction, knowing that he will not back down from his path. While the trailer doesn’t share much information on the details of the upcoming special, it promises an epic finale that will hopefully be a satisfying end to such an epic franchise.
Following the premiere, a worldwide afterparty will be held from November 5th-8th to celebrate the franchise. A metaverse space will be launched to host the event, and cast and staff of the anime will participate in the celebration.
