All Aboard the Grand Gourmet!

Sail the high seas with the Strawhat crew! Announced at the 2026 Nintendo Direct, Japanese video game developer Kairosoft and Bandai Namco dropped the new trailer for the restaurant management sim One Piece Grand Gourmet.

Players will control a pixel chef character to assist Strawhat pirate Sanji in creating an upscale restaurant the greatest the oceans have ever seen. Managing the appropriately named Baratie Number Two, fans of the ongoing manga series can serve up mouthwatering dishes to over 400 One Piece friends and foes.

Players can also decorate the interior of the ship to appease clients while helping Sanji make flavourful dishes with the help of some familiar characters and their Devil Fruits. Alongside the struggles and highs of creating a successful restaurant, players can create character relationships and even encounter special interactions. Plus, if a character likes the design of the restaurant, they might even become a regular guest!

While this definitely isn’t your standard One Piece game filled with fighting as a member of the Strawhats, there’s no doubt in my mind that this game will easily attract fans of the series or get newer members into the world of One Piece. Between the One Piece manga and anime continuing to drop chapters and episodes of our favorite crew members, a beloved live-action series that has brought a number of newer fans, and continuous collaborations with sports and other media, it seems as though One Piece continues to be relevant these days. From the adorable pixel art style and the abundance of characters, One Piece Grand Gourmet already has the makings of yet another smash hit for the series.

One Piece Grand Gourmet will be available on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 systems, Steam, the App Store and Google Play on October 23rd, 2026.
