The story isn’t quite finished, yet! Following the My Hero Academia epilogue OVA, “More”, it was announced that a special short based on a one-shot featuring Eri, Shota Aizawa and Present Mic was being animated! With a summer release date, it won’t be too long to wait for it! Warning: This will contain spoilers!
Short Synopsis of the One-Shot
The short follows Eri, now in middle school following the time skip, as she pays a visit to Aizawa and Present Mic at UA. They spend their time catching up and talking about Eri’s upcoming street performance, which Deku and Jiro plan to attend and watch from a distance. Eri says she is thankful for both Deku and Mirio for what they have done for her, but doesn’t want to use their fame for attention and prefers to work for it. They then watch as the news reports on Deku, Dynamight and Shoto, and Eri states that because of what the heroes are doing, she will give it her all, too.
What We Know
The short, much like the series, will be animated by Studio Bones and is expected to be released in the summer of 2026. The short is the third of 4 major projects to celebrate the anime’s 10-year anniversary, following the My Hero Academia orchestral world tour and epilogue special episode. It is currently unknown when the short will air and whether or not there will be any extra scenes made for the short to extend the story, much like the epilogue OVA. The cast is also expected to return to voice their characters for the short. Much like the manga one-shot, the short will be focused on Eri, with supporting roles by Shota Aizawa and Present Mic.
All seasons of My Hero Academia can be streamed in their entirety on Crunchyroll!
