Cyberpunk: Edgerunnner fans and Wuthering Waves players alike, get ready! Some of your favorite Cyberpunk characters are making their way into the world of Wuthering Waves.Â
Announced in a collaboration trailer, the event will arrive in-game next month for the Version 3.4 update on June 8 2026. The trailer features beloved Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters, like Lucy, Rebecca and David Martinez. Although the collaboration was just announced, it was hinted at in April 2025 during the Version 2.3 anniversary livestream, making fans wait for over a year.Â

About the Collaboration
Both Lucy and Rebecca will be available as playable characters in Wuthering Waves next month. Even bigger news, Rebecca will be a free 5-star character for players, which is a huge deal! As for Lucy, players can get her through the gacha system.
Although the trailer features David Martinez, Kuro Games did not announce David as a playable character in the game. He likely will play an important role in the quest’s storyline.
More About Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
As the prequel to Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners follows David Martinez (voiced by Zach Aguilar), a street kid turned edgerunner. Edgerunners premiered in 2022 and received incredible reviews, earning the Anime of the Year award at the 2023 Anime Awards. Currently, there is only one season of the show, with season 2 in the works.Â
2026 is a great year for Cyberpunk fans! With the Wuthering Waves collaboration coming soon, as well as the live-action fan film Cyberpunk: Recall starring Zach Aguilar, fans are spoiled. Not only that, but season two of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is expected to release late this year. As of right now, the 10-episode series is available on Netflix!

The 2024 RPG gacha game Wuthering Waves, created by Kuro Games, follows a post-apocalyptic world. Players control an amnesiac traveler known as “Rover” as they explore this post-apocalyptic world that combines old and new civilizations. The game is available on PC, iOS, Android and PlayStation 5. In July, the game will expand onto Xbox.Â
