More adventures in The Pit are on the horizon! At the annual Jump Festa event in Japan, a second season of the series was announced! Along with the season, Gachiakuta was revealed to be getting its own game, releasing in 2026 and a stage play set to start in the spring!

Not much has been revealed about what fans of the series can expect from Season 2 of Gachiakuta. The future season itself was announced at Jump Festa following the first season’s finale. Given how well-received the anime was by both fans and critics, a second season is no shock.
Brand New Gaming Experience
Another announcement from Jump Festa was the reveal of Gachiakuta: The Game. The game is being developed by Com2us Group and will be an RPG game. Alongside the announcement, they released a teaser trailer featuring Rudo, Enjin, Riyo, and Zanka in combat against some of the trash monsters. While a release date hasn’t been given for the video game, it is expected to be released in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.
Gachiakuta Hits the Stage
The final big announcement for Gachiakuta was the reveal of an official stage play set to begin shows in the spring of 2026. A poster for the upcoming stage adaptation was revealed, which showed off all the characters and the actors portraying them.
What is Gachiakuta?
Gachiakuta follows the story of Rudo, who is banished to The Pit after he is accused of the murder of his adoptive father. Following his exile and being attacked by the trash beasts who inhabit The Pit, he encounters and joins The Cleaners. The Cleaners are a group that specializes in fighting the trash beasts. After joining, Rudo makes his goal clear. He wants revenge on the real murderer of his father and the rest of the people on the surface for banishing him.
