Calling all SoCal locals! This is your last chance to experience Final Fantasy VII’s Seventh Heaven at Boba Bear Koreatown. The collaboration between Boba Bear and Square Enix began on September 22, 2025. It will end on December 31, 2025.
Seventh Heaven was brought to life to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, launching on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox on January 22, 2026.
Reservations are encouraged and can be made here. Walk-ins will be accepted, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
Community Cosplay Meet-Up
On December 20, 2025, Seventh Heaven will be holding a Final Fantasy VII Community Meet-Up to celebrate the holidays. Cosplay is very encouraged! In fact, all cosplayers will receive a free tumbler (while supplies last). The event officially starts at 11:00 am and runs until 5:00 pm.
In addition, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis players will receive a 10% discount on the Materia Sphere glass by showing the applicable in-game notice to the Boba Bear staff.
The Menu
The existence of the Materia Sphere glass implies the existence of Materia drinks. In fact, there are four Materia drinks: Cura, Fira, Thundara and Blizzara. They are all aesthetically pleasing, complete with light-up ice cubes to add some flair.
- Cura Materia is a kiwi and passion fruit lemonade.
- Fira Materia is a watermelon aqua fresca.
- Thundara Materia is a ginger lemon jasmine tea.
- Finally, Blizzara Materia is a blue Thai tea.
Seventh Heaven also offers limited food options, the most substantial being self-serve “elevated” instant ramen. The venue has a self-serve ramen station that will have your ramen ready in three minutes. You can request toppings such as green onion, cheese and egg. Yes, one egg. Raw. You will need to crack it.
However, the funniest menu item goes to the Masamune Churro. It’s a standard churro, so no surprise flavors, and it’s a pretty good churro! But the charm comes from the black sugar and the fact that the holder is a sword hilt. Yes, you can swing it like a sword. Yes, sugar will go everywhere.
Behind the bar counter, you can find some merch. Magnets, plushies, and blind boxes are available for purchase. However, unless a new shipment came in, Boba Bear is sold out of the FFVII Ever Crisis aprons.
Final Fantasy VII Activities
Don’t worry, there’s more to do than just eat and drink. The first floor is the tavern, complete with a functioning Midgar Jukebox. Most of the tables and seating are on the first floor, so definitely keep the ramen down there.
Upstairs on the second floor is the Gold Saucer. Here, you can play Heavenly Darts and compete against both your friends and past visitors. There’s also a claw machine where you can try to win a plushie. Yes, it’s doable (unless it was changed after we played and won 5 out of 6 tries) and you’ll most likely walk away with some kind of food or drink discount.
