Brush up on your science knowledge with Dr. STONE! This hilarious, civilization-rebuilding anime uses real science to guide the story. Learn about elements like sulfuric acid, manganese and calcium carbonate; you never know if you will have to rebuild the world one day!
Dr. STONE follows Senku Ishigami, a brilliant high school scientist. One day, a mysterious green light washes over the Earth, turning all of humanity into stone. Ishigami breaks free from the stone first and is determined to bring back all of civilization using science.

Horimiya follows popular student Kyouko Hori and shy otaku Izumi Miyamura. However, after school, things change. After seeing each other’s alternate lives, they agree to keep them a secret to maintain their images at school. Along the way, they form a unique friendship that soon develops into something more.

The series follows Yatora Yaguchi, a high schooler who feels lost until he discovers his passion for art. He aspires to enroll in the most prestigious art university in Japan: Tokyo University of the Arts. Yaguchi reminds high schoolers that it’s okay not to have a career figured out right before you graduate high school, because you never know when inspiration will hit you.
Assassination Classroom
The fate of the world rests in the hands of a bunch of middle schoolers with the strangest teacher they’ve ever seen. Koro-sensei may be a yellow tentacled super-being capable of Mach 20 speeds, but his teaching ability is top-rate. Maybe graduating isn’t as hopeless as these students thought. Too bad they need to kill him before then, or else the planet goes kablooey. Despite the bloodthirsty premise, this anime instills a genuine sense of self-improvement. The cast is memorable, the action stellar, and the payoff entirely worth it. The ultimate lesson these kids learn is that, even if the world gives up on them, they never give up on themselves.
Ascendance of a Bookworm
Back to school means hitting the books, but what happens when books don’t exist yet? That’s the predicament bookworm Motosu Urano faces when she’s reincarnated as Myne, the daughter of a poor family in a medieval fantasy world. She wants nothing more than to be reunited with her precious books, but the road is long and winding. Armed with her modern knowledge, she quickly adapts to her new environment and uses every opportunity to enrich the lives of those around her.Â
This series is a very slow burn, but the details and the world-building is expertly crafted. It goes the extra mile to make even the smallest achievement a big deal. It just goes to show that armed with the proper knowledge and lots of determination, anything is possible.
Cells at Work!
It’s time for biology class, and what better way to learn about the human body than with cute anime girls. Cells at Work personifies every little function inside your body as charming characters, from red blood cell delivery people to white blood cell covert operatives to even adorable platelet pre-schoolers. Learn how the body works and responds to various maladies and injuries with some good old anime edutainment. An impressive amount of research and detail has gone into every aspect of this series. It’s practically its own textbook. If nothing else, it’ll give you a better appreciation for how hard your cells work.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles

Mash Burndead is a deadpan outcast who can’t use magic. What he lacks in magic, he makes up for in muscles. Though Mash isn’t the brightest when it comes to studying, he continues to work hard every day and treats himself to the occasional cream puff.
Haikyu!!
For some, school is more than just studying for tests and doing homework. School is about showing off their athletic skills on the court! Haikyu!! follows that premise and follows Shoyo Hinata as he joins the volleyball team at his new high school with rival, Tobio Kageyama. Despite being on the same team, they push each other to their limits and uncover new heights in pursuit of becoming professional volleyball players.
Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation
Get ready for graduation with Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation. This boys’ love anime follows Sasaki and Miyano, a couple who navigate the next chapter of their lives upon Sasaki’s graduation from high school and upcoming journey to college. Although the couple won’t attend the same school next year, they express their concerns and spend as much time together as possible. This anime episode represents personal growth, a new journey into adulthood, and love between high schoolers.
