The final battle’s climax draws ever closer! TOHO Animation and Studio Bones have dropped the newest trailer for My Hero Academia!
The trailer teases information about season 8’s official release and the artist for the opening song! Season 8 is set to premiere on October 4th. As with previous teasers, Izuku’s battle with Shigaraki is the focus. Both characters have spent seven seasons honing their teachings and skills. This final battle serves as the pinnacle for each of them, and only one can win.
What to Expect in Season 8
We also get small glimpses of Lady Nagant, Hawks, Tokoyami, Asui, Denki, and Momo as they watch the battle. These quick shots are accompanied by the voices of Hawks, Nagant, and Denki, each voicing their support for Izuku.
The opening song for the season accompanies the latter half of the trailer. Porno Graffiti, the band behind the first opening of the series, returns as the artist. The opening song is called “The Revo”.

The final war for the fate of Japan and the world has kicked off. Shoto faces off against Dabi and stops him with his family’s help. Ochaco manages to reach Toga and calm her fury, but Toga sacrifices herself for Ochaco. All For One reverses his aging in a last ditch effort to win and defeats Hawks and Endeavor. Shoji fails to stop Spinner, but does stop Spinner’s army from causing more harm. Katsuki suffers a possibly fatal blow from Shigaraki, and Best Jeanist and Edgeshot are trying to revive him. Izuku and All Might stand as the final line of defense for the sake of the world.
