Everyone has something that they’re skilled at, whether they know it or not. Some people are incredible chefs, while others are skilled craftsmen. Although some skills may not be as highly favored or are more outlandish than most, it’s important for us to take pride in our skills.
When it comes to our staff at Sakamoto’s, and even Wutang himself, they all have incredible abilities that shape the way they navigate through life. Here is the eleventh and final episode review of Sakamoto Days.
SAKAMOTO DAYS Episode 11 Recap
Stakes are high in this final episode as the Sakamoto staff try to navigate their way through a casino and outmatch Wutang’s intelligence. Watching Shin and Sakamoto handle these gambling games was a nice change of pace. It forced them to operate with a different mindset– using just fighting skills won’t always work to defeat certain foes.
Wutang’s smarts land him in hot water when his own men betray him, but the Sakamoto staff make quick work of taking them out. As promised, Wutang informs the staff that Slur was behind the bounty on Sakamoto’s head. Additionally, he lets Sakamoto and team know about a string of murders across Japan, along with a recent breakout of four dangerous criminals. He urges them to flee, but Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu begin to formulate a plan to make contact and reveal Slur’s true identity.
Overall Thoughts
While I am upset that there seems to be a wait for the second part of this season, I am very eager to see how this next arc is handled. It seems as though the Sakamoto staff is one step closer to revealing Slur’s true identity and uncovering why they wanted a bounty on Sakamoto’s head.
The season as a whole managed to exceed my expectations, and even had me re-reading the Sakamoto Days manga just to get that rush. From voice acting to animation, Sakamoto Days had me excited to watch anime again. I know that when the second half of the season starts, I’ll be right there waiting.
Want to catch up with Sakamoto Days? The anime is streaming on Netflix, with the second half of the season slated for release in July 2025. The manga is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and the Shonen Jump app.
