About the Series

Based on the hit Shonen Jump Manga by Naoya Matsumoto, Kaiju No. 8 started streaming in April 2024. Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya directed the first season at studio Production I.G.

Kaiju No. 8 follows Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man who dreams of joining the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force to fight against Kaijus, giant monsters running rampant. However, due to his lack of skills, Hibino is left to work in the lower levels on cleanup duty. All this changes when a smaller Kaiju enters his body, turning Hibino into a powerful Kaiju, dubbed “Kaiju No. 8.” Due to his newfound strength, Hibino joins the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force and helps fight these monsters.

Season 1 of Kaiju No. 8 currently streams on Crunchyroll, and a second season is expected sometime this year. With only a few days left to get the bundle, Kaiju No. 8 fans better rush to Fortnite now.
