“Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You” Anime Debuts Winter 2025

Romance manga Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You is getting an anime! To celebrate the announcement, Crunchyroll released a teaser trailer, as well as a key visual showcasing the character designs and names, during its industry panel at Anime Expo 2024 on July 6. The anime is anticipated to premiere in January 2025. As for right now, there has yet to be any confirmation on which animation studio will be taking on the project.

The following cast was announced, and they are listed, as pictured above, in order from left to right:

  • Izumi Airu – voiced by Shoya Chiba
  • Shin Kashiwagi – voiced by Shin Yoshitaka
  • Mizuho Nishino – voiced by Sakura Shinfuku
  • Kizuki Hazawa – voiced by Kazuki Ura
  • Shugo Hoshikawa – voiced by Satoshi Inomata

Written and illustrated by Haruka Mitsui, the manga debuted in March 2021 and was serialized in Kodansha’s monthly shojo magazine, Nakayoshi. Kodansha USA also publishes the manga in English. There are seven volumes out now, with an eighth making its debut on July 16.

The year is 2020, and it’s Mizuho Nishino’s 17th birthday, which couldn’t be going worse. Her parents forgot about her birthday, and her senpai, who she’s crushing on, isn’t reciprocating her feelings. The global pandemic is canceling the school extracurriculars she was looking forward to attending. She’s never experienced love and is thrown for a loop when her childhood friend, Kizuki Hazawa, declares he could be her potential boyfriend. How will Mizuho navigate these changes with all these changes going on in her personal life and the world? 

Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You anime will stream on Crunchyroll.
