Aleks Le has been captivating the eyes of fans with his portrayal of anime and video game characters. The journey for Aleks has been inspiring to many. He moved to the United States from Asia, at the young age of 10. Aleks realized he had an obstacle he must overcome, which was the English language, but that didn’t stop him. He managed to learn the language through cartoons and video games. He accepted every challenge and turned what most wouldn’t into an art of his own. He took off and began his career in voice work, bringing to life characters loved by many! Here are Aleks Le’s top 10 character roles. Spoilers will be revealed in the article.
10. Kazuya Kinoshita - Rent a Girlfriend
This is Aleks Le’s first time voicing a lead character in a romance anime. The anime’s main protagonist is a twenty-one-year-old college student living alone. After the passing of his grandfather, his grandmother takes on all familial roles and dreams of her grandson finding a nice girl. In Kazuya’s case finding a girlfriend is far more difficult than it seems. He is indecisive, irrational, and has low confidence, a combination for disaster. Since he leads by his emotion he often lies to those around him, which gets him into trouble. Although Kazuya lies often he means no harm, he only wishes for those around him to remain happy. Kazuya wasn’t always like this, at the beginning of his college career he had confidence and money. It all came tumbling down when he was dumped, which left him heartbroken. As a last resort, he decides to save himself the trouble by renting a girlfriend named Chizuru. The two then make a pack to remain a fake couple for the sake of Kazuya’s grandmother.
9. Gamma 1 - Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
Aleks Le’s character in the Dragon Ball Super movie was Gamma 1, an android soldier of the Red Ribbon Army. The Red Ribbon Army was created by the evil scientist Dr. Gero. Long after the passing of Dr. Gero, Commander Red’s son, his second in command, and Dr. Hedo, work together to get the Red Ribbon Army up and running. Gamma 1 is an Android made by Dr. Hedo. He is misguided by his creator and doesn’t realize his heroic acts are for evil. He is a pure-hearted android who wishes to do good in the world. Gamma 1 has a strong sense of loyalty and has a calming demeanor. He is shaped in the image of a superhero and believes that justice should be served. For as long as Gamma 1 has been “living” he was proud of his accomplishments, that is until he realizes he is on the opposite side of justice. He follows alongside his brother Gamma 2 and together they help the true heroes in battle.
8. Mash Burnedead - Mashle Magic and Muscles
In a school full of magicians, Mash Burnedead fakes it ’till he makes it. Mash has a secret to hide from the world. With almighty strength but no magical abilities, he struggles to live a so-called normal life. In a world full of magic, those with a mark signifying their ability to use magic are safe. Whilst those unmarked are exterminated to keep the magical balance. Mash is an anomaly that possesses super strength, but is absent of magical abilities. He and his father try to remain unnoticed but soon are found by authorities. When the authorities discover Mash’s secret they give him the option to become a “Divine Visionary” by competing in a set of exams. Succeeding would mean Mash’s acceptance from everyone but failure would end in his demise. With no other option, he decides to enroll in the prestigious Easton Magic Academy. Mash will have to work harder than any other student if he hopes to succeed.
7. Makoto Yuki - Persona 3 Reload
An epic role of Aleks Le is the Protagonist in the game Persona 3 Reload. The male protagonist, Makoto Yuki, is a young schoolboy with dark blue hair/eyes and bangs that cover parts of his face. He is often seen listening to his earphones with his mp3 player. Cool and collected he walks around with his hands in his pockets and remains composed. Life starts to get interesting when Makoto transfers to a new school, Gekkoukan High. The school may seem normal at first glance but there are dark secrets that linger throughout the school halls. Makoto discovers he has a role to play in fighting off any threats that cross his path. He is on a mission to discover the mysteries that surround his new school. With his persona, he is able to head into battle fully equipped. Players be aware some scenes may be triggering.
6. Luke Sullivan - Street Fighter 6
Aleks Le’s notable video game character is Luke Sullivan. Luke can often be seen in the voice actor’s wallet or on vacations with him. In the words of Aleks during a live stream, he has no great meaning. Luke is known to act haughty and give off the impression of a youngin. He decides he wants to take a different path in life causing him to reroute his life and pursue martial arts. Luke’s only dream is to travel the world and go up against strong opponents. After some time he settles down taking on a serious demeanor. With growth comes responsibility and Luke is now an instructor at the Buckler Academy. After many defeats in battle, Luke decides it is time to put his all into practice. He only wishes to have a respectful and enjoyable fight amongst his opponents.
5. Thorfinn - Vinland Saga
An emotional role indeed for Aleks Le. So much anguish can be heard in his voice. It is a truly remarkable role. Thorfinn’s life has not been a walk in the park. He is a Viking and the son of an infamous warrior. As a child, he witnesses the murder of his father which makes his life a living hell. Longing to avenge his father, Thorfinn fights and spills the blood of many people, even the innocent, in hopes of dueling the man who killed his father. All the hate, anguish, and killing turned Thorfinn into a murderous monster. As time passes, he realizes all the pain and suffering he has inflicted and chooses to lead a different life. Thorifinn vows to never lay harm on another person for as long as he lives.
4. Shen Xiang - Undead Unluck
Strong, preppy, and handsome is Aleks Le’s latest role Shen Xiang from Undead Unluck. Shen is a preppy young-looking man with blue hair and eyes. He is tall with a muscular build and dressed in Chinese clothing. Shen is a strong warrior and works for the union. The union is an organization of Negators.His job is to chase down anomalies that threaten the world. Untruth is Shen’s ability, which allows him to negate any conscious thought his opponent has, causing them to do the opposite of what they had in mind. For his ability to be in effect, Shen must keep his opponent in his line of sight. As long as he can see them he can keep his Untruth active.
3. Sung Jinwoo - Solo Leveling
Aleks Le is breaking headlines with his passionate performance! Sung Jinwoo follows the pitiful life of a weak E-ranked hunter. Since his father’s disappearance during a dungeon raid, Jinwoo is left to provide for his family but lacks in skills. Forced into the life of a hunter, Jinwoo struggles to stay alive whilst fighting supernatural beings. Tired of living day by day Jinwoo jumps at the opportunity to be a player of the system. This choice changes his life forever taking him from the weakest hunter to humanity’s greatest hunter. Jinwoo is now a necromancer with access to abilities such as shadow extraction and shadow exchange. He can control powerful forces and has a loyal army of shadows ready to charge at his command.
2. Mikey - Tokyo Revengers
Mikey is one of the main characters in Tokyo Revengers. He is a young teenage boy and fierce opponent and the leader of Toman who fights each step of the way to keep the gang afloat. He is known for his powerful and deadly kicks, which will knock anyone on their butt. Mikey has many responsibilities which cause him to mature quickly. In reality, he is a young boy who gives into his childlike tendencies. Mikey is a serious and strong adversary to his opponents, one not to be messed with. However, this isn’t the case for all. The people he views as companions have a different view of Mikey. A soft spot can be seen through the tough exterior. Although Mikey has been through hell and back he is capable of compassion but struggles to make the right choices.
1. Zenitsu Agatsuma - Demon Slayer
The crybaby, weak-willed, yellow-haired boy, who only hopes to find a wife he can settle down with, is a popular character voiced by Aleks Le. Zenitsu Agatsuma has never had it easy, he was scammed by a woman he thought would be the love of his life. She takes all his money and leaves never to be seen again. Struck with despair and in debt Zenitsu has nowhere to turn. He is chased by debt collectors and cornered. Luckily he is saved by Jigoro and in return is led into the harsh and scary life of a Demon Slayer. Zenitsu feels incapable of defeating a demon due to his weakness and fearful demeanor. Zenitsu may think he is weak but a powerful presence can be seen when he falls in an unconscious state. Through the many life-or-death battles, Zenitsu becomes one of the strongest characters to join the Demon Slayer Corps.
