Grab your Chocobos and ride on! Running from April 21st to May 31st, North American FINAL FANTASY XIV fans can stop by the Filipino fast food chain Jollibee and participate in all the excitement! From meals to exclusive merch and even an in-game “Eat Chicken” emote, this collaboration is sure to bring fans together.
In order to obtain the ‘Eat Chicken’ emote, patrons must purchase either the FINAL FANTASY XIV Box Meal or the FINAL FANTASY XIV six-piece chicken bundle, or purchase the limited-time apparel. Upon purchase, players will receive an item code emailed to them, which they can use to show off their chicken-eating skills when put into their account online.
The FFXIV Box Meal contains a spicy or original chicken sandwich (no Chocobos harmed), French fries, a peach mango pie, a one-piece Chickenjoy with a side of gravy, and a new limited-time blue raspberry drink with clear boba. The FFXIV bundle comes with six pieces of chicken and 3 blue raspberry boba beverages. In Jollibee locations that do not offer the drink, a Pineapple Quencher will be put in its place.
About Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV is a Square Enix MMORPG set in the fantasy region of Eorzea. Players can create their own custom characters and pick between 16 different job classes to prevent the invasion of the Garlean Empire. With the help of other online players or NPC characters, fans of the series can ride their Chocobos into battle and team up in dungeons to take on enemies and prevent Eorzea from plummeting into darkness. Players can also participate in mini games such as Chocobo racing, fishing and showing off their outfits.
Official apparel for this collaboration is available via Complex.com from now until May 31st at 11:59 p.m. PT. Fans have the opportunity to grab a hoodie or a t-shirt with Moogles carrying buckets of Jollibee chicken or a crewneck and t-shirt with the Jollibee mascot riding a Chocobo.
