Calling all Sonic fans and Sanrio lovers! Pop-up store Gacha and Catch, located in the Santa Monica Promenade, will be launching their Sonic and Friends x Hello Kitty collab on April 17th. While the collaboration was previously released only in Japan in November 2025, it will be available in North America for the duration of the Gacha and Catch pop-up period.
The collaboration pairs fan favorite Sanrio characters with the Sonic the Hedgehog cast: Sonic x Hello Kitty, Tails x Cinnamoroll, Amy x My Melody, Knuckles x Kuromi, and Dr. Eggman x Pompompurin. The collaboration includes the Sonic x Sanrio characters, both as adorable plush toys and mascot pushies with a ball and chain. With all the hype surrounding the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog film coming out next year, the collaboration couldn’t come at a more perfect time.
From April 17–19th, the collection will be exclusively available at the Gacha & Catch store in Santa Monica, California, giving fans a chance to purchase the items before the collection is released online at the Sanrio website on April 20th. In addition to getting a chance to take home a plush from the collaboration, purchase bonuses such as stickers for the event will be available for customers who spend $60 or more in-store while supplies last.
