The Cult-Classic: Neon Genesis Evangelion
Neon Genesis Evangelion premiered from 1995 to 1996. The series followed teenager Shinji Ikari, who was recruited to pilot a bio-mechanical mecha (known as Evangelion). Following his recruitment by his estranged father for NERV, Ikari finds himself fighting against monsters known as “Angels” for the fate of humanity.
With its dark themes, psychological depth and characterization, Neon Genesis Evangelion paved the way for numerous different anime series. For fans interested in the series or anyone who has yet to watch the original cult-classic anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion is available on Netflix.
