The Chaotix are on the case! A new official noir-style audio drama set in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe titled The Chaotix Casefiles was announced! It stars Team Chaotix, who are hired to solve a mystery surrounding a museum heist.
What is it About?
The audio drama follows Team Chaotix as they must find out the whereabouts of an important relic after it is taken by a mysterious red intruder. Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee come across both Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman in the course of their investigation and must team up with the hedgehog if they wanna solve the case.

The cast returning from the games announced for the audio drama so far includes:
- Keith Silverstein (Zhongli in Genshin Impact) as Vector the Crocodile
- Matthew Mercer (Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan) as Espio the Chameleon
- Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Jazz Fenton in Danny Phantom) as Charmy Bee
- Roger Craig Smith (Ezio in Assassin’s Creed series) as Sonic the Hedgehog
- Mike Pollock (Yoshirō Usuba in My Happy Marriage) as Dr. Eggman
The series is being directed by Ian Jones-Quartey, known for his work on the Steven Universe franchise and Adventure Time. It is being written by Ian Flynn, Evan Stanley and Dan Jolley.
The Chaotix Casefiles is the first of many surprises both Sega and Sonic Team have planned to celebrate the franchise’s 35th anniversary. Additionally, The Chaotix Files is slated to begin its run on January 27th and is confirmed to be a multi-episode adventure. An official episode count hasn’t been revealed. It is currently unknown if other characters from the games will be making guest appearances throughout the drama’s run; however, only time will tell.
