Known for our live-action adaptations of Digimon and Dragon Ball, Anime Fire’s YouTube channel brings endless anime and cartoons to life. With something for everyone, it’s hard to choose which live-action series to watch here. Worry not! Here’s your live-action guide to the series on our official YouTube channel. Slight spoiler warning ahead!

Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks

“The next generation of Dragon Ball is here! Join Vehan, the Son of Trunks, as he works with unlikely allies to collect the Dragon Balls and restore everything that was lost to the super androids...including his father.”

With two episodes of Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks out now, Anime Fire spoils Dragon Ball fans with a whole new story, with original characters. With episode three in the works, with an incredible addition to the cast, we can’t stop binging episodes one and two.

While episode one builds the story well, episode two brings hope to the world of the Son of Trunks. As Uub’s memory returns, he leaves Kiki behind in a shocking twist, going as far as to threaten to kill her as he becomes Android Z. Vehan’s journey remains far from over, as he fights iconic characters who jump from timeline to timeline. Seeing him team up with Dr. Falls this episode set the stage for an incredible episode ending, before Pan finally appears and interrupts. Not only that, but Super 17’s desire for power builds up for great fights and storylines that viewers cannot wait to see in episode three. Overall, the countdown for episode three starts now.

Attack on Titan: Blades of Freedom

“Attack on Titan: Blades of Freedom is a passionate, fan-driven cinematic tribute to Attack on Titan, made by devoted fans for the fandom. There's no hope for humanity! This thrilling fan film brings legendary characters Erwin, Hange, and Levi back to life in an electrifying narrative that honors the spirit of the original series while delivering a fresh and immersive experience for the fans!”

Attack on Titan: Blades of Freedom is reserved for older audiences, showing a backstory to Attack on Titan, focusing on characters like Hange, Levi and Erwin, rather than the leading trio in the anime.

The first episode of Attack on Titan: Blades of Freedom shocks whoever watches, full of gory scenes, including a character’s death; it’s a bloody nightmare. After the Colossus Titan destroys Wall Maria, members of The Scout Regimen flee for their lives, leaving one behind in a brutal death. However, hope is not lost as the beloved Levi Ackerman comes in to save the day. The first episode ends with an appearance from Hange Zoë, collecting samples in an attempt to learn more about titans. Overall, Attack on Titan: Blades of Freedom remains as horrifying and gruesome as Attack on Titan, making it an ideal live-action for the beloved series.

DigiDestined

“In ‘DigiDestined’, we find out that all of our favorite seasons of Digimon are connected through the Digital Multiverse! Tai, Davis, Takato, Takuya and more exist out there somewhere… but in ‘DigiDestined’, we meet new versions of our favorite Digimon and brand new, original humans known as DigiDestined!’"

For those who grew up on Digimon as children, DigiDestined brings that childlike joy back into fans’ hearts. Connecting characters through a multiverse in an attempt to save their worlds keeps the thrill of Digimon alive.

The first episode paces the series well, introducing different characters and their respective Digimon by popping from universe to universe. The episode manages to make fans feel like they’re switching universes when they’re introduced to the main characters, while adding in some familiar voices here and there. Additionally, DigiDestined manages to add comedic lines seamlessly, keeping the series a little unserious in the best way. Overall, with a heartfelt inspiration behind the series, DigiDestined takes an older spin on a childhood classic that excites and entertains all who watch.

Fallout: Ghoul’s Revenge

“Could a ghoul save the wasteland? This is a fan made, live action Fallout short that tells the story of Redd; an unknown Ghoul with an incredible destiny that could save the wasteland.”

With easter eggs for Fallout’s biggest fans, Fallout: Ghoul’s Revenge manages to introduce an original character while keeping true to the original game and the Amazon Prime TV series.

Overall, Fallout: Ghoul’s Revenge stands out with its incredible filming style and editing, giving viewers a truly western feel. With his badass vibe and gunslinging abilities, audiences easily fall in love with the ghoul Redd. As Redd takes the radiation immunity serum for himself, fans patiently wait for a follow-up episode, wondering if Redd will get hunted down for his choices.

The Last Ronin: Death Wish

“In a dystopian future the foot clan has successfully wiped out all who would oppose them and Oroku Hiroto, grandson of the original Shredder, rules New York City with an iron fist. But hope is not lost! A lone hero remains, The Ronin. Will he avenge his fallen brothers and take back the city or die trying?”

Taking the adaptation inspiration from Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s graphic novel “The Last Ronin,” Death Wish highlights a darker side of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle universe. Seeing Michelangelo, the comedic relief of the TMNT world, fight alone to avenge his brothers shocks viewers. The Last Ronin: Death Wish proves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can get serious, mixing a vengeful storyline with exhilarating fight scenes and fan-favorite characters to produce a badass prologue.
