Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks Web Series Casts Jason Faunt as Trunks

Since its launch in May, 2024, the Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks fan-made web series has left fans anticipating the reveal of the beloved character Trunks. Yesterday, on the Anime Fire Instagram, they officially announced the actor playing Trunks, Jason Faunt.

Best known for his role in Power Rangers Time Force, Faunt played Wesley “Wes” Collins, the Red Time Force Ranger. He later reprised his role as Wes in Super Ninja Steel, Super Megaforce, and Power Rangers Wild Force.

Jason Faunt joins an incredible cast of actors on the Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks team. Some of the members in the cast include:

Chelton Perry directed Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks, with Colin K. Bass writing the story. Elvin Zuleta worked as Executive Producer of the series. The creators dedicated the series in memory of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, who sadly passed away last March. 

The first episode of Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks was released on May 31, 2024, with episode two following on March 27, 2025. Anime Fire has created other fan-made series besides Dragon Ball: Son of Trunks, including an Attack on Titan series available on their YouTube channel.
