HoYoverse remains a juggernaut in the mobile gaming space as Honkai: Star Rail filled all 7,100 seats in the Peacock Theatre. Trash Taste (consisting of CDawgVA, TheAnimeMan, and Gigguk) returned to moderate a discussion with four of the English voice actors.
The panel focused on Amphoreus characters, inviting Hayden Daviau (Tribbie, Trianne, and Trinnon), Aiden Dawn (Cyrene), Gabriel Warburton (Mydei), and Joshua Waters (Phainon) to the stage. Throughout the panel, the cast discussed the world of Amphoreus and how their characters’ stories interacted with the overall main story. It’s ok, Mydei’s just taking a nap.
As a special surprise, YMIR performed Phainon’s theme, “Flares of the Blazing Sun,” live. This set in motion the voice actors’ live performances and trivia games. In particular, Daviau’s challenge was determining if a 5 second clip contained Tribbie, Trianne, or Trinnon. They did astoundingly well, showing off a mastery of their characters.
Warburton and Waters garnered the most attention by live dubbing the (in)famous bathhouse scene. Yes, the actors had stools and towels to really sell the scene. Yes, there was so much grunting. Yes, the audience lost its mind.
Upon completion of the panel, attendees received a special metal Phainon card.
Currently, Tribbie and Phainon are part of the warp banner for two more days. Running alongside the two limited banners is the Fate/stay night collab. Each banner features Saber and Archer, with Archer being a freebie for all players.
Fate/stay night Meets Honkai: Star Rail
In addition to the banners, two special event missions featuring Fate/stay night are active. Like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail allows players to unlock limited time events before completing the main story missions. However, players need to beware of spoilers.
The Fate/stay night collaboration will be active until the Version 3.6 update, giving players about two months to complete the missions.
Honkai: Star Rail is available on Android, iOS, Windows, and PlayStation 5.
