About Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling follows Sung Jin-woo, introduced as a lowest-tier hunter, an E-rank, who faces a near-death experience. Following his near-death experience, Sung Jin-woo finds himself with video game-like abilities that allow him to “level up.” As Sung Jin-woo levels up, he becomes a beacon of hope for humanity, fighting against threats and uncovering the secrets behind the Gates.

The series originated as a Korean web novel, which later evolved into a webtoon. A-1 Production then picked up the series, alongside Aniplex and Crunchyroll, to produce the anime. Shortly after the anime’s release, Netmarble released the video game Solo Leveling: ARISE.

Solo Leveling swept at the ninth-annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards by winning in nine categories, including Anime of the Year, Best New Anime, and Best Main Character (Sung Jin-woo), earlier this year. Solo Leveling made history as the first Korean animation to win nine awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

Crunchyroll streams the first two seasons of Solo Leveling, with a third season currently in the works.
