The striking bowling anime Turkey! -Time to Strike- is almost here, and will make its broadcast worldwide on July 8! BAKKEN RECORD and Pony Canyon released a teaser trailer of one of the main characters, Mai Otonashi.
Meet Mai Otonashi
Otonashi is a left-handed bowler who is a natural at bowling. The trailer demonstrates her talents by showing her going for, and succeeding at, bowling a turkey (three strikes in a row). The audience also briefly meets some of her bowling teammates Nanase Nikaido, Rina Godai, and Nozomi Mitaka, all enjoying drinks with Otonashi.
Otonashi emphasizes that she wants to make the bowling club fun, and bowling really begins on the second throw.
About "Turkey! -Time to Strike-"
Turkey! -Time to Strike- follows five high school girls who participate in the bowling club at Ikkokan High School in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture.
The main characters and cast are as follows:
- Nanase Nikaido, a first-year science-focused student – voiced by Ayasa Ito
- Rina Godai, a first year student who is often critical of Mai Otonashi, yet also looks up to her – voiced by Kana Ichinose
- Nozomi Mitaka, a beautiful reader model who works to become a better bowler – voiced by Yuki Tenma
- Sayuri Ichinose, a kind student with a complex about her size – voiced by Haruki Iwata
- Mai Otonashi, a second-year student who is naturally gifted at bowling. Her turkeys are often followed by a 7-10 split, and she is considered “the genius who never wins” – voiced by Hana Hishikawa
Tatsunoko Production’s label BAKKEN RECORD and Pony Canyon are producing the anime.
