Converse x Naruto Shippuden
The basic line consists of All Star shoes featuring Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi, and Gaara. These shoes cost $80 each, except Itachi’s Converse Weapon commands, which cost $130. With distinct symbols, logos, and even photos of the characters themselves. The shoes highlight each character in its own light.
However, if fans don’t like the regular line, buyers can edit shoes through the Converse By You option. This allows for customizable emblems and characters, giving fans more options to choose from, for $95 each. Fans can customize their shoes with Rock Lee, Minato, Sakura and the five characters in the original line: Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi and Gaara through the Converse By You option.
Alongside the shoes, Converse is also releasing Naruto shirts, jackets and backpacks. The collaboration also offers two kid-sized shoes inspired by Naruto and Sasuke. All the new merchandise can be found on Converse’s official website, with prices ranging from $35 to $130.
The collaboration was announced last April by HYPEBEAST and Sneaker News. This isn’t Naruto‘s first shoe collaboration; their previous one was with Crocs last year. That collaboration featured Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Itachi, Minato and Jiraiya clogs.
The Naruto series focuses on Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja from Hidden Leaf Village who has the demon fox, known as Nine-Tails, sealed within him. The Naruto manga was published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in 1999 and ended in 2014. The anime ran from 2002, with its latest version, Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, potentially delayed until 2027.
Until the collaboration officially drops on May 22, fans can watch Naruto, Naruto Shippuden and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations on Crunchyroll.
