Set to be released on March 4th, One Piece creator, Eiichiro Oda, officially supervises a new book covering the beloved character, Portgas D. Ace’s entire life.

The Life of Ace
Although not much has been revealed about the exact details of the book, the 484-page novel will likely cover Ace’s life as the son of the pirate king, Gol D. Roger, including his childhood with Luffy, Sabo, and his experiences as a pirate. Also, his death in Marineford.
Since Ace is a huge part of One Piece’s main character, Monkey D. Luffy’s life, the book will highlight numerous emotional moments. Also, fans can expect to see Ace’s experiences as a Devil Fruit user. He ate the Mera Mera no Mi Devil Fruit, giving him the power to create, control, and turn into fire, earning him the nickname “Fire Fist.”
The book condenses important moments of Ace’s life, in the One Piece series, into a single volume. The volume will also include a double-sided poster and exclusive stickers for fans.
Currently, there is no official international release date. March 4th will likely be a Japanese-only release. Fans of Ace worldwide will have to wait to get their hands on book translations.
With the highly anticipated second season of the live-action on Netflix, One Piece coming out soon, the book’s release next month is perfectly timed. Especially, since fans are waiting for Ace’s debut in the series.

One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda, follows Monkey D. Luffy, on his journey to becoming King of the Pirates. With his crew, The Straw Hats, by finding the treasure known as the “One Piece”, left by Gol D. Roger. Fans can watch the anime on Crunchyroll, however, the series is currently on hiatus until April 2025. The live-action version can be found on Netflix and season 2 is coming out soon!
