In preparation for Ver 1.2, the Zenless Zone Zero YouTube channel has released a special program detailing new content and characters! Let’s recap the main talking points of the announcement.
"Tour de Inferno" Special Program
All-New Area: "New Eridu Outer Ring"
In Chapter 4 of Phaethon’s Story, players will travel to the Outer Ring and get to know what life is like in this desolate wasteland of road and rubber. They will get the chance to recruit two new agents: Caesar King, the S-rank physical Defense agent, and Burnice White, the S-rank fire Anomaly agent. There’s also a new Bangboo and two new signature W-Engines to collect. In addition, a new agent story mission featuring Burnice will become available.
All-New Partner Archives
The hosts go on to explain the new events and content that will appear in the future of Ver 1.2. While players explore the Outer Ring, they have the opportunity to revive an old diner in the “Overlord’s Feast” event, serve guests, man the kitchen, and learn more about the Sons of Calydon.
All-New Version Events
A new minigame makes its way to Godfiner Arcade. In “Bizarre Brigade,” you can summon allies and clear waves of monsters in a roguelike survival game. Also, complete challenges to earn rewards like Polychromes, Boopons, and Tactical Chips.
All-New Puzzle Event
A new puzzle event, combat commissions, drive discs, game modes and more await in Ver 1.2! The last part of the program has the hosts explain various optimizations and quality of life changes for Zenless Zone Zero. The ability to save and select squad configurations will give players much more flexibility when creating their squads to take on combat commissions. The TV gameplay sections have been optimized and sped up to improve the flow of gameplay and get players right back into the action. A backup battery charge function has been added, so even when away from the game, players can spend charges to gain additional stamina.
To top it off, they announced that as early as Ver 1.4, players will have the ability to roam the overworld as an agent they’ve recruited. The program ended with special footage from “Hyper Commision,” the Zenless Zone Zero DJ set performed at Creamfields North 2024 in the UK. Zenless Zone Zero is available free to play on Playstation 5, Android, iOS, and Windows!
