“Turkey!” Bowling Anime Gets Key Visual and Releasing in 2025

Time to lace up your bowling shoes, grab a ball, and hit the lanes: An anime all about bowling is coming soon! Every sport needs an anime adaptation, and now it’s bowling’s time to shine in the new anime Turkey! The original bowling anime will make its debut in 2025. The anime gets its name from the bowling term “turkey,” or three strikes in a row. 

About Turkey! the Bowling Anime

The striking sports anime Turkey! follows five high school girls who participate in the bowling club at Ikkokan High School in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture. Tatsunoko Production’s label BAKKEN RECORD and Pony Canyon are producing the anime. 

A key visual was released Sunday, showing off the cast of main girls’ bowling approaches to the lane. From left to right, the anime stars main characters and bowling club members Nanase Nikaido, Rina Godai, Nozomi Mitaka, Sayuri Ichinose, and Mai Otonashi. 

A short teaser trailer was also released in March, introducing the new characters and showing off some of their skills:

Cast and Crew Involved in the Series

  • Nanase Nikaido, a first-year science-focused student.
    • Voiced by Ayasa Ito 
  • Rina Godai, a first year student who is often critical of Mai Otonashi, yet also looks up to her.
    • Voiced by Kana Ichinose
  • Nozomi Mitaka, a beautiful reader model who works to become a better bowler
    • Voiced by Yuki Tenma
  • Sayuri Ichinose, a kind student with a complex about her size
    • Voiced by Haruki Iwata
  • Mai Otonashi, a second-year student with a natural talent for bowling
    • Voiced by Hana Hishikawa

Turkey!’s official release date is yet to be determined. The anime project was originally revealed in December 2022.
