One Piece is coming to the Las Vegas strip on its biggest stage yet—or should we say screen?
Toei Animation has announced that The Sphere, the world’s largest and highest-resolution LED screen, will project a special art installation from June 10 to 16 in celebration of One Piece’s 25th anniversary. While the content is still a mystery, fans and tourists can anticipate Eiichiro Oda’s original artwork illuminating the Vegas strip in a way never seen before.
About One Piece
Over the last 25 years, fans have cherished One Piece for its captivating story, lovable characters, and rich world-building. One Piece is a Japanese manga series created by Eiichiro Oda. The narrative revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young determined pirate on a dangerous quest to find the legendary treasure known as ONE PIECE and become the King of the Pirates.
One Piece on the Las Vegas Strip
The exterior of The Sphere features 580,000 sq ft (54,000 m2) of LED display space. At its broadest point, it is 366 feet (112 m) high and 516 feet (157 m) wide. The Sphere sits on the east side of the Las Vegas strip and can be seen miles away. It opened in September 2023. This is the first anime-centered projection of this nature, and hopefully, there will be many more collaborations to come!
One Piece Cafe
The Sphere isn’t the only One Piece experience available in Nevada. The One Piece Cafe had its grand opening on May 11. It’s the first-ever official One Piece cafe in the United States. The cafe offers dishes inspired by the anime, merchandise, and backdrops, which are perfect for capturing the memories of your visit!
The Sphere activation is just the beginning of the 25th anniversary celebrations. There is more in store, including the launch of an English YouTube channel, ensuring that fans from all over the world can join in the festivities.
