Crunchyroll announced today that it is bringing back Ani-May for 2024, its celebration of all things anime during the month of May. The celebration will span across retail, digital and streaming, with exclusive merchandise and limited time access to more anime series on Crunchyroll for the month.

To kick things off, Crunchyroll is partnering with a number of retailers worldwide for exclusive Ani-May 2024 merchandise. For US based fans, Hot Topic is the retailer of choice. The specialty store will be running promotions and activations all month long, and will offer (in store only, and while supplies last) a special edition Crunchyroll-Hime sticker with anime purchases. Merchandise from a wide range of anime has been teased, including Black Butler, JUJUTSU KAISEN, Solo-Leveling, Spy x Family and the brand new Kaiju No. 8, among many others. Barnes and Noble will also be running a sale on anime DVD and Blu-Ray titles as part of the Ani-May celebrations.
Streaming and Retail Exclusives
Besides a month’s worth of new merchandise, Crunchyroll is also making 20 popular anime series free to access on their streaming site with ads for the month, including some massive hits. Fieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Haikyu!!, Chainsaw Man, and the classic Cowboy Bebop are just a few that will be made available beginning May 1. Other titles include:

For shoppers of Crunchyroll’s online store, there will be a home video sale of up to 60% off through May 14, and a sale of up to 70% of select items starting May 15. For those spending over 75$ online (excluding pre-sale), there will be an exclusive 2024 Hime Ani-May pin while supplies last. Themed weeks for the Crunchryoll store have been announced as well, including:
