About Bucchigiri
Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights and delinquent classics, Bucchigiri is directed by Hiroko Utsumi (SK8 the Infinity, BANANA FISH) at studio MAPPA, with series composition by Taku Kishimoto (BLUE LOCK), character designs by Takahiro Kagami (Yu-Gi-Oh!) and music by Michiru Oshima (Little Witch Academia).
Arajin Tomoshibi’s reunion with his old pal Matakara Asamine takes an unexpected turn when they stumble into a brawl with the toughest guys in town. And just when you thought things couldn’t get weirder, a colossal genie decides to drop in. Brace yourself for the ultimate showdown. It’s the clash of the cool and the magical!
Bucchigiri premiered in Japanese on January 13, 2024. It is an original anime, meaning there is no manga for source material.
