After some delays, Trainers can finally embark on some new horizons in Pokémon Horizons: The Series on Netflix beginning March 7th!
About Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Revealed on August 8th, this new take on the Pokémon anime is based off of generation 9’s world, the Paldea region. Specifically the Indigo Academy from the second expansion of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet (2022). The story follows two new trainers, Liko and Roy, both who hold mysterious artifacts of their respective regions. Roy even has a shiny Rayquaza, unlike anything seen in the anime before. Follow these two new misfits as both aviators and mysterious businessmen follow them across their new, mysterious world to discover what power is held within Liko’s necklace and Roy’s clockwork Pokéball!
Pokémon Horizons: The Series Extended Trailer
Though it had initially been teased to release February 29th in the United States, Pokémon Horizons: The Series had experienced a few delays in translation. Especially since some of the episodes have already aired in Japan, it’s understandable that Netflix wants to give this series the time it deserves. In doing so, the Pokémon company revealed their new release date in their latest extended trailer:
That’s right, it won’t be too much longer of a wait, because Pokémon Horizons: The Series is set to release on Netflix on March 7th! It’s an extra week, but gives trainers and the production team more time to prepare.
Especially with some of the first English voice acting shown in this trailer, there’s no doubt Pokémon fans will love this series as much as the previous ones. The voice talent of Alejandra Reynoso as Liko, Anjali Kunapaneni as Roy, Crispin Freeman as the aviating Friede, and Daman Mills as the mysteriously looming Amethio, not to mention Zeno Robinson and Kira Buckland as Fuecoco and Sprigatito respectively, there’s going to be an amazing journey awaiting Pokémon trainers in the west.
Watch the Series on Netflix
Pokémon Horizons: The Series will be available on Netflix starting March 7th, with the Japanese release wrapping up in early March.
