This has truly been Jujutsu Kaisen’s year when it comes to anime collaborations. The boba chain The Alley has jumped into the game with two special edition drinks based on the characters Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo during the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc that kicked off the second season of the anime earlier this year.

I made my way over to the location of The Alley in Rowland Heights, California to check out the collab and try one of the specialty drinks. Upon entering the shop, there were several life size cutouts of the three main characters from the beginning of season two – Jujutsu High School students Gojo and Geto, and Riko Amanai, the young girl they were meant to protect. Up near the register was the special menu explaining the limited edition drinks that are available for the collaboration, both of which are smoothies.
Gojo’s Limitless Coconut Smoothie is made with a coconut milk slush and crystal balls, topped with a blue coconut jelly. Geto’s Powerful Tropical Smoothie is a mango and passionfruit slush with cream, and crushed biscuit to top it all off. Personally, I went for the Limitless since I am more of a coconut fan, but both looked delightful. They do take a little longer to prepare than the other drinks in the shop, but it really wasn’t much of a wait. Both have a smoothie or slush-like texture and don’t feature the classic pearl tapioca, so just be prepared if you want to give them a try yourself.
If you decide to order one of the Jujutsu Kaisen inspired drinks, they each come with a set of stickers, a drink sleeve and a straw accessory. Each drink has their own sticker and sleeve matching the character who inspired it.
This is not The Alley’s first time doing an anime collaboration. Earlier this year, a similar promotion was done with the series Chainsaw Man, featuring two drinks inspired by the characters, along with a special cup sleeve, straw accessory and sticker sets. Hopefully this trend continues and they team up with other anime series in the future.
The Alley has locations in California, New York, Colorado, Texas and Hawaii, with the full list of locations available on their website. This is a limited time collaboration, so if you want to experience these specialty drinks be sure to make your way to the one nearest you!
