My Hero Academia announced a fourth film last week with a teaser trailer. Although rumors of another movie have been circulating, the announcement shocked fans of the series. This week’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine confirmed that the film is currently in the works.

My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya and his journey in the hero world after he receives powers from his idol, All Might. The anime is full of incredible fights and emotional storylines to keep fans on edge.
With the anime doing so well, it is no surprise that a new film is in the works. Not only that but the anime has been renewed for a seventh season, expected to be released in the spring of 2024.

Hit anime My Hero Academia is expecting a fourth film coming out soon. The film will have an original storyline, leaving fans on edge. The teaser trailer shows fan favorite characters returning to the screen including the main character Izuku Midoriya, as well as characters like Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki and Ochako Uraraka to name a few.
Unlike the previous My Hero Academia movies, the manga’s author Kohei Horikoshi will be directly involved with this film. Previously, Horikoshi only had a light influence on the films, unlike how he will be in this film.
The film has an original storyline, not shown in the manga, which means Horikoshi will be completely involved with the plot and dialogue. Fans are excited, since this movie will have more of a similar feel to the anime and manga than previous films.
Currently, there is no other information about the new film and the release date has yet to be announced. However, fans are excited to see what Horikoshi comes up with this time around.
