A former Corporate Drone, Sato Ryota, suddenly wakes up in a dungeon, in an unfamiliar world. After meeting and exploring with the girl that found him lying there, Emily, he quickly discovers that this is a world dependent on monster drops and the people who farm for them. He also learns, much to his dismay, that his combat skills are all trash! However, his Loot Skill is an S, earning him potentially the greatest skill in this new world!
Originally launched as a light novel series, written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Subachi, “My Unique Skill” also earned a manga adaptation, illustrated by Mawata, and debuted on Kodansha’s website “Suiyobi no Sirius”. The anime adaptation series is directed by Yuji Yanase at MAHO FILM.
Kodansha’s description of the series is as follows:
Ryota Sato gets the surprise of his life when he’s suddenly transported into another world and nearly clobbered at the hands of the young, pretty adventurer Emily Brown. This new world revolves around defeating monsters and profiting on whatever they drop—food, money, items, etc. Unfortunately for Ryota, he has no skills to speak of...until he learns he has the ability to get rare drops! Suddenly his luck turns around...or does it?

The most fun thing about this anime is the proof that one small twist, or change, to the OP Main Character formula can provide a whole new spin on a series (in the otherwise crowded genre that is isekai).
