“Prepare for trouble and make it double” is an understatement. It only makes sense with Ash and Pikachu making an exit that Team Rocket and the gang would make an appearance, but were fans expecting them to be no more?
As the final episodes of Pokémon Journeys: The Series with Ash as its main character come to a close, a lot of major personalities from the franchise have been making their way in the 11 episodes for his send off. After 25 years of unsuccessful attempts to capture Pikachu, the iconic trio has decided to call it quits in the latest episode that aired this past Friday in Japan.
With three episodes remaining of the series, this has left fans shocked and feeling like Team Rocket deserved a better send off since their original appearance in 1997. After another failed attempt to capture Pikachu, the team blasted off into the skies by Latias and found themselves in a heated argument blaming each other… ultimately, going their separate ways – leaving all of their pokémon (who banded together throughout 25 years) and walking off.
