Get those Vital Instruments ready! It’s nearly time to return to the Pit as the first teaser trailer for Season 2 of Gachiakuta has officially dropped!
What We Know So Far
The teaser, first shown off at Anime Expo, showcases very quick glimpses of some of the major scenes that will be adapted for this season. Among some of the scenes, we see Fu Orostor talking with someone, Amo still in captivity, presumably Tamsy’s based on the ending of Season 1, and both Rudo and Riyo getting ready to fight an unknown enemy on top of their vehicle. There are some small glimpses of other characters such as Enjin, Zanka Niijima, Zodyl Typhon and Jabber.
While it was revealed that the upcoming season is coming soon, a specific reveal date was not revealed. There has been no info on an official episode count, either. Studio Bones is returning as the main animation studio behind Gachiakuta, and the voice cast is all expected to return to reprise their roles.
What is Gachiakuta About?
Gachiakuta follows Rudo Surebrec as he is sent to his death following the murder of his adoptive father and being framed for it. Surviving the fall, he is met by Enjin, who saves him from a trash beast and takes him back to join the Cleaners. There, he meets the likes of Zanka, Riyo and Semiu, among others, and trains to better his powers as a Giver.
Over the course of his journey for revenge against the Sphere, he and his allies come into conflict with the Raiders, led by Zodyl Typhon. They share the same goal as Rudo, but have more violent means of achieving the goal by creating artificial trash beasts, culminating in a massive battle inside a massive man-made trash beast.
