If you’re looking for a great way to socialize and make memories or maybe you’re a parent looking for a fun activity to do with the family, look no further! At Anime Las Vegas, they offer free-to-play scavenger hunts through their Anime Fire booth and Four Empires activations! All you need is a smartphone camera to capture your memories and show the staff to claim your prizes.
Anime Fire Scavenger Hunt
The Anime Fire booth will have special buttons you can earn depending on the level you complete. The levels range from taking photos with things found around the convention to finding cosplayers dressed as certain characters and taking photos with them. It’s a lot of fun roaming around the convention trying to find things, and there are new levels both days, so plenty of fun to go around!
Four Empires Scavenger Hunt
The Four Empires scavenger hunt, or should I say quest, is run a bit differently and takes a bit more time to complete, but it’s just as fun. Four Empires is an interactive universe featuring live-action shorts, events, and a trading card game.
To begin the quest, you first need to figure out which house you belong to: Jade Eagles, Cobalt Sharks, Crimson Wolves or Golden Bears. You can take their official Four Empire Quiz online, or you can go in-person at the convention and speak to characters from each house and learn about their values and decide that way.
With this scavenger hunt, your house gives you a scroll with about 12 tasks on it, where you can choose to do some or all to earn prizes! They even have a map where, if you complete enough quests, you get a sticker to put on a map that symbolizes your team claiming another empire’s territory. Here’s a photo of last year’s board:
It was exciting to visit the empire throughout the con and see how your house is doing compared to the others. It felt like a sense of community. For these scavenger hunts, it’s a lot more hands-on. We were drawing, playing card games, and roaming the convention to find posters featuring specific phrases and more.
