Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol and Other New Announcements

Almost 18 years since Dragon Ball Super’s final episode, Goku and Vegeta are back again to stop yet another planetary threat! The Dragon Ball Genkudamatsuri event in Japan dropped the news of Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol being in production. Additionally, the event also announced a remake titled Dragon Ball Super: Beerus and information regarding the Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero DLC. 

Dragon Ball’z 40th Year Anniversary

An audience gathered to celebrate Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary with a special animated video following along the key moments within the series alongside music by famous composer Hans Zimmer. The reveal of Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol was announced to widespread applause. The Galactic Patrol takes place after the events of the Tournament of Power and will adapt the events of the Moro Arc. 

While there’s no official release date, fans can expect to see Goku, Vegeta and the rest of the gang in 2027. In the meantime, we can relive Goku’s extraordinary battle with Beerus as the development of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is slated for Fall 2026. Executive producer Aiko Iyoku will be leading the direction of the story, citing to show the Destruction God in a more serious light despite his more laid-back tendencies in the Dragon Ball Super anime. The anime is set to have enhanced visuals, narrative changes, and more action-packed fight scenes, according to Iyoku.

Dragon Ball Gaming News

Alongside new anime announcements, Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO will be getting a DLC drop later this summer. The trailer revealed new characters such as Bardock and King Piccolo, along with new costumes and Super attacks. Also, the trailer of a new game project titled Age 1000 was shown. Despite few details regarding the game, more information about Age 1000 will be shown off at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 on April 18th-April 19th. 

While Akira Toriyama’s passing in 2024 was a shock to all fans, it is comforting to know that the legacy of his stories, like Dragon Ball continue to live on in different forms of media. Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Daima are all available to stream on Crunchyroll
