Kick off the new year in January 2026, as Mika Yamamori’s popular shoujo manga, In the Clear Moonlit Dusk (Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki), gets an anime adaptation. This rom-com story has been highly praised within the shoujo community and is bound to offer new audiences a chance to have their heart skip a beat.
General Plot of In the Clear Moonlight Dusk
Yoi Takiguchi is your typical bishounen, except for the fact that he is actually a she. Known her whole life for her princely persona and appearance, it isn’t till she meets Ichimura-senpai that she feels like her true self is really seen. What happens when two prince-like people get close to one another?
Ranked number 11 in the category of female readers of the guide Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2In 023, this story has quickly drawn in a small but dedicated fanbase. Many fans compare the premise to that of Ouran High School Host Club; however, In the Clear Moonlight Dusk is more serious at times than the popular Ouran.
Cast and Crew Announcement
We recently got a list of the Japanese voice cast, which is as follows:
- Rei Ichinomiya as Yoi Takiguchi
- Ryouta Suzuki (Arbus in Seven Deadly Sins) as Kohaku Ichimura
- Aya Yamane (Shisel in Magatsu Wahrheit: Zuerst) as Nobara Tone
- Momoko Seto (Belno Light in Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) as Kotobuki Hibiya
- Shouta Hayama (Wataru in Solo Leveling) as Sentarou Akane
- Kentarou Kumagai (Laios Touden from Delicious in Dungeon) as Shun Kuwabatake
There has been no official announcement on whether this anime will receive an English Dub.
East Fish Studio will animate the series, with Yusuke Maruyama directing. Ayumu Hisao will work on the composition, Yuki Fukuda will work on the character designs and Tsubasa Ito will work on the music.
