Twisted Wonderland has quickly become a smashing success as this new Disney anime series based on the hit game has been confirmed for not only a season two, but a third season as well. Currently airing on Disney+, Twisted Wonderland has been airing with a focus on the Heartslabyul arc of both the popular video game and manga. Fans are rejoicing in anticipation as the next arc of the anime will focus on the Savanaclaw dorm arc.
What We Know About Season Two of Twisted Wonderland
While the first season of Twisted Wonderland is still currently airing new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+, at the Disney+ Original Preview 2025 event held in Hong Kong, they showed a special preview of the current running anime that, at the end, teased a second season of the series brought on by the next focus character of season two.
The creators and showrunners then confirmed at this event that Twisted Wonderland has been greenlit to run up to three seasons. Despite the show still currently airing, it seems it has been a huge success among its current fanbase and has obtained new fans alike.
What is Twisted Wonderland?
Similar to the plot of the mobile game, Twisted Wonderland follows a protagonist who is accidentally sent into the Night Raven College in a completely different world. The Night Raven College focuses on magical students who are separated into dorms based on iconic Disney villains. The first season of the anime has a heavy focus on the Heartslabyul dorm, which follows the queen of hearts.
This new upcoming season will focus on Savanaclaw, which takes after Scar from The Lion King. These characters are full of handsome male characters inspired by these Disney villains, but their plots are inspired by the Disney films they’re based on, but are not direct copies.
Overall, this series is lighthearted and fun for fans who have played the games or new fans who enjoy the Disney inspirations. You can stream and catch up on Twisted Wonderland on Disney+ before the new season airs next year.
