Announced in a recently revealed promotional video for the 113th manga volume release on the One Piece Official YouTube channel, Shank’s evil twin, Figarland Shamrock, finally has a voice actor. Voicing Shamrock is none other than legendary voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda.
Most known for his roles as Nanami Kento in Jujutsu Kaisen, Kai Chisaki in My Hero Academia and Dainsleif in Genshin Impact, Kenjiro Tsuda remains a legend in the voice acting world.
Additionally, Tsuda’s definitely a familiar voice in the One Piece universe. In One Piece Film: Red, Tsuda voiced Gordon, the former king of the Elegia Kingdom. Tsuda also has experience voicing siblings in One Piece, as he previously voiced Vinsmoke Yonji, one of Sanji’s younger siblings.

Considered the most interesting character revealed in the latest arc, Elbaph Arc, Figarland Shamrock is the older twin brother of Shanks and the son of a current Five Elder, Saint Figarland Garling (as of the current manga chapters).
A World Noble and the commander of the Knights of God, Saint Shamrock, appears in the Elbaph Arc as a minor antagonist in the arc. The Elbaph Arc will start premiering in April 2026, as the production of One Piece will go on a three-month hiatus after the Egghead Arc.
Seeing as Shanks is such a beloved character in the One Piece community, Shamrock’s appearance in the series adds more depth to Shanks. In contrast to the freedom-loving pirate Shanks, Shamrock is a nobleman holding up a system of oppression. With Shamrock’s personality being the complete opposite of Shanks’, Shamrock’s potential rivalry with Shanks goes beyond that of just siblings. Although twins, the two couldn’t be any more different.
Until then, fans of One Piece can enjoy the current Egghead Arc, which streams on Crunchyroll. Not only that, but before the premiere of the Elbaph Arc, season 2 of ONE PIECE, the Netflix live-action adaptation, will premiere in March of 2026.
