The Mega Man Star Force video game series is getting a legacy collection! Join Geo Stelar and Omega-Xis through 7 action-packed RPGs inspired by the Battle Network series. Players will collect battle cards, fight challenging bosses, and explore the world to uncover secrets. The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will launch in 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PS5 & 4, Xbox Series X|S and One, and Steam.
Mega Man Star Force Leo, Dragon and Pegasus
The first games in the Star Force series. They are separated into three versions: “Leo,” “Dragon” and “Pegasus. All three will be available in the Legacy Collection.
After his father disappeared during a space expedition, Geo Stelar lost all interest in life. The only thing left to him was a pair of goggles that allowed him to see the electromagnetic wave spectrum. Geo spent his time searching the sky for any sign of his father. One night, an alien made of EM waves named Omega-Xis appears. He tells Geo he stole something called the Andromeda Key and came to Earth seeking help. He also says he might know something about Geo’s father. Together, Geo and Omega-Xis transform into Mega Man, riding the EM wave roads to fight off the invading aliens.
Mega Man Star Force ZerkerXSaurain and ZerkerXNinja
The second game in the series, this time divided into two versions, “ZerkerXSaurian” and “ZerkerXNinja.” Named after the central transformations of the story. Both versions will be available in the Legacy Collection.
Two months after the first game, Geo and Omega-Xis have adjusted to life without an alien threat. Geo is much happier and able to make friends much easier. Helping with that is his new personal device, the Star Carrier, which can materialize waves from the EM spectrum. Not everyone had good intentions for this new technology. A scientist obsessed with reviving the ancient civilization Mu uses the Star Carrier to control people. It’s up to Mega Man to put a stop to their plans. But what connection do unidentified-mysterious-animals (UMAs) have to Mu? What are these out-of-place-artifacts (OOParts)? And what happens when Omega-Xis swallows one?!
Mega Man Star Force Black Ace and Red Joker
The third and final entry into the Star Force series. Again broken into two versions, “Black Ace” and “Red Joker.” Both versions will be available in the Legacy Collection.
After the events of the second game, a new personal mobile terminal makes the rounds. It has the unique feature of summoning Wizards, near-sentient EM wave beings that make life incredibly convenient. However, a disrupting frequency called “Noise” causes some Wizards to lose all sense of reason. Mega Man is affected, too, but gains temporary powers. A local police officer, Ace, enlists Geo’s help against a crime syndicate that starts manipulating Noise for their own gain. Along with his friends and unlikely allies, Mega Man confronts the Dealers and uncovers hints about his own past he never knew.
EM Wave Change! On Air!
The Mega Man Star Force series debuted on the Nintendo 3DS system in 2006. The games were meant to be a spiritual successor to the Battle Network series. Critics at the time gave the Star Force series mixed to average reviews, citing the lack of innovation and slow story. Still, its colorful aesthetic and charming characters attracted both new and old fans. It sold decently well between all seven games, though interest and reviews petered out by the third entry. It may not have been the hit Capcom wanted, but it still cemented itself in Mega Man history. Until its launch in 2026, fans can keep up with the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection on its official Capcom site.
