Toho Animation and Beyond Fest partnered up to throw a red carpet premiere for the upcoming film, My Hero Academia: You’re Next. Fans, cast, and crew were all in attendance for this once in a lifetime experience and the event did not disappoint!
My Hero Academia: You’re Next Premiere
To celebrate the film’s release worldwide, the event included quite a few experiences for fans in attendance. Upon entering the venue, attendees were given a movie poster for the film and a package containing a small assortment of merchandise featuring characters featured in the movie. There were different backdrops scattered outside the theater for fans to take photos with. The event showcased a red carpet featuring some of the cast as well. Additionally, there was a chance for fans to take a photo with Izuku Midoriya, himself. Inside the theater, the staff gave away souvenir cups of popcorn featuring a design for the film.
Guest Appearances
Some of the special guests included Izuku Midoriya’s and All Might’s Japanese dub voices, Daiki Yamashita and Kenta Miyake. Other My Hero Academia stars in attendance included: Clifford Chapin, Kristen McGuire, Zeno Robinson, and Anairis Quiñones. The English dub voices for the film exclusive characters; Guilio Gandini, voiced by Mauricio Ortiz-Segura and Anna Scervino, voiced by Kayli Mills, also attended the red carpet premiere. Before the film began its screening, Daiki Yamashita and Kenta Miyake took to the stage to personally thank the attendees for supporting the franchise and wished that all the viewers enjoyed the film. They ended their time on stage by taking a group photo with the audience. They lead the audience in delivering a “Plus Ultra” before taking their seats.
About My Hero Academia: You’re Next
My Hero Academia: You’re Next follows the exploits of Class 1-A after retrieving Izuku from his solo mission, last seen in Season 6. They are confronted by a villain named Dark Might, who looks eerily similar to All Might, and the mysterious Guilio Gandini. Class 1-A, must work together to stop Dark Might’s perverted vision of being the next Symbol of Peace, while also saving the captive Anna Scervino before it is too late. The film releases worldwide on October 11, 2024. You can currently stream all seasons of My Hero Academia on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
