Season two of One Piece’s live action is currently in production! One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda announced that the following arcs will be covered in season two: Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island. On top of Oda’s message to fans, Netflix has been releasing a string of new casting this week.

This week, Netflix has been releasing a string of new casting announcements.
Newest Season Two Cast Announcements:
- Miss Wednesday – Charithra Chandran
- Nefertari Cobra – Sendhil Ramamurthy
- Dr. Kureha – Katey Sagal
- Dr. Hiriluk – Mark Harelik
Previous Season Two Cast Announcements:
- Smoker – Callum Kerr
- Tashigi – Julia Rehwald
- Wapol – Rob Colletti
- Dalton – Ty Keogh
Oda expressed his excitement for the casting and how the story translates to real life:
“You may wonder, what was the inspiration behind that kingdom? How would it connect to the real world? Naturally, the distinctive cast members have been assembled from around the world, and I can’t help but get excited thinking about how the adventure has already begun!” Oda wrote in an Instagram post.
The One Piece creator also teased fans about Miss All Sunday and Chopper, whose casting has not been revealed yet.
About the Series
Created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997, One Piece is one of the most popular manga/anime franchises of all time, winning awards such as “most published comic book series by a single author” from the Guinness World Records in 2015, and beating its own record in 2022. The franchise has gone on to produce an anime with more than 1,100 episodes, 15 movies, video games, and the newest Netflix live action series.
One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a rubber boy with a dream of becoming the King of the Pirates. Luffy assembles a ragtag crew known as the Straw Hat Pirates, and they sail through the Grand Line in search of the ultimate treasure known as the One Piece.
