Now we’re talking! The slice-of-life romantic comedy Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian is getting an English dub, and the first two episodes will air in English on July 24.

Sarah Natochenny and Aaron Dismuke will be playing main characters Alya and Kuze Masachika, respectively. Natochenny expressed her excitement on Instagram in her role announcement, as Russian is her first language:
“Though I’m a native New Yorker, Russian is my first language, and it’s a joy to get to use it *sometimes* in this well written, slice-of-life, teen romantic comedy,” Natochenny wrote.

"Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian" Synopsis
Alisa Mikhailovna Kujo “Alya” is a new transfer student at Seirei Academy. She’s smart, athletic, popular, and the new student council treasurer, yet she’s also cold toward her classmates. Though she appears mean, she often makes flirtatious remarks to fellow classmate Kuze Masachika in her native language Russian, but is unaware that he understands Russian too! How will their love story play out in this romantic comedy?
The first two English dub episodes of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian will premiere on Wednesday, July 24. The first three episodes are available in Japanese on Crunchyroll.
